outfit of the day(bird): less clothes, more dragons

i know you don't want to hear about the weather. i know. and i'm sorry...but it is dang cold here. yesterday was -30 degrees with the wind chill. i should have stayed in the house under a mountain of blankets all day, but yesterday morning, megan, mimi and i braved the chill to go to a fun dance class at the gym and then take advantage of a 50% off sale at savers. while wandering the aisles of the store, i said to mimi, "let's go look at clothes for you and ben." to which she replied, "mama, i have plenty of clothes. plenty. and so does ben. we just don't need any more right now." and, of course, she was right. they do have enough clothes at the moment. (although, we both could have used a few more layers at the time.) and so we left the store empty handed. but not before a very small tantrum about how we were leaving without the giant, stuffed, hot pink dragon that mimi just had to have. when i said, "but mimi, you have plenty of stuffed animals. you just don't need anymore." she replied, "yes mama, but i don't have any pink dragons." good point, kid. nonetheless, we went home dragonless. and when we got there, we snuggled under a pile of blankets for the rest of the day.
