inspiration monday: snakes and not yet

before you get too excited, nora bird has not had her baby yet. she is just not quite feeling it today. she is close, so close! in fact i'm hoping that by the time some of you read this, she will already have had her baby. but that may be wishful thinking. either way, please send her some good vibes. she really (really) wants to have this little guy soon!

this weekend, as i mentioned earlier, our little sister came into town. her in-laws had a barbecue on saturday night and our family all went. our brother-in-law, bjorn is terrified of snakes, so of course, when we found a three-foot gummy snake a while back, i couldn't resist buying it. we hid it in the bushes and had eva scream for him to come outside. when he saw it, he stopped dead in his tracks and said, "oh hell no, i am not getting close to that thing." i then went over to it, told him i thought it was dead because it wasn't moving, and when i went in to pretend to poke it to check, i picked it up and threw it at him. i have never seen a grown man so scared. and even after he knew it was fake, he still wouldn't get close to it, which is unfortunate because he loves gummy candy. little eva had a stroke of genius when she decided we should put it under his pillow. needless to say, i got a terrified text at about midnight!
