inspiration monday: sam i am

nora bird and i are new aunties (again). our side of the family (immediate family only) is now a whopping 19 people. our family dinners consist of two tables, hundreds of dollars of food (and alcohol), and a lot of patience. but let me tell you, it's well worth it! the newest addition, little sammy, is the cutest little old-man baby that you will ever see. he was a humongous nine pounds and came into this world rather calmly. i heard that his mom was also rather calm, but his dad sounded something like a startled dinosaur. our sister told us that his cry (dad's, not sam's) was a crescendo of delight and she had to tell him to calm down. sounds like a sitcom to me!

and onto the inspiration for this week. the lovely kelly ripa. i love her casual look...it's a perfect summer/fall look. it's not quite summer here, but it is exceptionally warm for mid-november, so i myself felt rather inspired by this outfit!

  1. Good Morning Lovely Birds, I have been absent due to a mini getaway with my husband but not in and RV. I will link up today. Megan your nubby sweater and orange blouse are adorable together. Love how you both tied your scarves. Nora, blazers are a great look on you, this outfit is really cool and casual...you both look amazing. These outfits would have been perfectly hip, in the town Rob and I visited this weekend in Pa. I better get moving. Dawn Suitcase Vignettes xo

  4. your family sounds amazing! I like big families, it's always fun and loud and warm. I have a small family, with only one precious sister so gatherings are always quiet. I love both looks, meagan's oversized sweater is adorable, I like the vibrant colors, definitely wake people up on a monday morning. I like the grunge , indie look. Nora's is smart casual with a nice structured jacket. I like sweet floral ruffled top.

I loved today's inspiration! Megan, that color is just gorgeous on you. And Nora, nice work on 'borrowing' the scarf to the point of ownership. It was a good piece to work that magic on :)
